What NS Logistics TMS collects, why, who can see it, and how to get it removed. Last updated September 23, 2026.
Who we are
NS Logistics TMS ("NSLogi", "we") is a transportation management system sold to trucking carriers and freight brokers ("Customers"). This policy covers the NSLogi web application, the driver app, carrier-branded sites that run on NSLogi (for example tms.<carrier>.com), our marketing site, and messages we send. Questions: support@nslogitms.com.
Two roles
For our marketing site and for account administration we are the controller of your information. For everything a Customer enters into NSLogi — loads, drivers, rates, documents, positions — the Customer is the controller and we process it on their instructions. If you are a driver, owner-operator, broker or shipper using a Customer's NSLogi, that Customer decides how your information is used; contact them first, and we will help.
What we collect
- Account data: name, e-mail, phone, role, company, sign-in activity, passkeys or password hashes (never the password itself).
- Operating data entered by Customers: loads and stops, customers and brokers, drivers and equipment, invoices and settlements, uploaded documents such as rate confirmations, bills of lading and proofs of delivery.
- Location data: truck positions from a Customer's telematics provider, and phone GPS from the driver app only while a driver has turned sharing on. Positions are used for dispatch, ETAs and mileage; the driver can stop sharing at any time.
- Public records: FMCSA carrier and safety data pulled for carrier vetting, at the Customer's request.
- Billing: handled by Stripe. We keep the subscription status and the last four digits of a card; card numbers never touch our servers.
- Technical: IP address, browser, device and timing of requests, kept in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To run the product: dispatching, tracking, documents, invoicing, settlements, notifications the Customer configures (e-mail, and SMS where enabled — see the SMS terms).
- To keep accounts secure: sign-in, lockouts, audit and access logs.
- To bill Customers and answer support requests.
- To improve the product using aggregate, de-identified usage. We do not sell personal information and we do not use Customer data to train models that serve other Customers.
Who can see it
Every Customer's data is isolated from every other Customer's. Within a Customer, access follows the roles its administrator assigns; drivers and owner-operators see only their own loads, pay and documents. Brokers and shippers receive only the tracking or document link a Customer sends them, which shows that one load. Our own staff access Customer data only for support the Customer requested, and that access is logged.
We use service providers to run NSLogi — Microsoft Azure (hosting, database, file storage, in the United States), Stripe (billing), SendGrid (e-mail), and the load-board, telematics and messaging providers a Customer connects with its own credentials. Each receives only what its job needs. We disclose information when the law requires it, and we tell the affected Customer unless we are legally barred from doing so.
Retention
Operating data is kept for as long as the Customer's subscription is active and for 90 days after it ends, so the Customer can export it; then it is deleted, except for financial records we must keep by law and backups that age out on their own schedule. Server logs are kept for 30 days. A Customer can delete individual records at any time; deleted records sit in a recycle bin for 30 days, then are purged.
Your choices
- See, correct or export your information through the app, or ask the Customer that manages your account.
- Turn location sharing off in the driver app at any time.
- Reply STOP to any text, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing e-mail. Service messages a Customer configures (dispatch, pay) come from that Customer.
- Ask us to delete account data we control by writing to support@nslogitms.com. We answer within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, sign-in supports passkeys and two-factor codes, and each Customer's records carry a tenant key enforced by the database layer. No system is perfect; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will notify the Customer and, where the law requires, you, without undue delay.
Children
NSLogi is a business product. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above. Material changes are announced in the app and by e-mail to Customer administrators at least 14 days before they take effect.
